Kerikeri's Christmas Parade with a twist
Our Kerikeri Community Charitable Trust was formed by a small group of passionate
volunteers who are united by a goal of unlocking the potential that already exists in Kerikeri. Like many towns and cities all over New Zealand (and the world), they believe in the power of communities to create positive change at a grass roots level.
The organisation has taken over organising the 2021 Christmas Parade and has gone for a unique theme that will challenge those entering a float to: organise a low environmental impact and carbon neutral float. Floats can be powered by any form of carbon-neutral power:
- Walking
- Cycling
- Scooters
But No vehicles!
Our Kerikeri engaged with Rolf and Inge from Carbon Neutral NZ Trust, who, in addition to compiling a judging sheets (you can download a copy below) for the floats decided to contribute to the prize money.
We are all looking forward to seeing the results on 26 November - 5:30pm.
