Carbon Neutral Waiheke submission on Auckland's Climate Action Framework

Carbon Neutral NZ Trust (CNT) Waiheke branch has made an eleven page submission to the Auckland Council on Auckland's Climate Action Framework (lPDF)

CNT Waiheke felt that many of the Framework's aspirations needed to be far more ambitious. The overall conclusions of the submission are:

There appears to be a disconnect between the laudable aspirations identified in the climate action framework and the day-to-day actions of Auckland Council and its CCOs. To ensure that the public, businesses and communities have faith in the framework it will be necessary to ensure that the framework is embedded in all Auckland Council’s and its CCOs policies and practices; that the actions are measurable and staff accountable.
